The Best Exercise Bluetooth Headphones for an Effective Workout

Here is the ultimate list of the best exercise bluetooth headphones. Find various options for each preference and choose the one that best suits your needs.

Which is the place you need headphones mostly? The gym, of course.

Sometimes your whole workout is based on the bomb playlist you’re listening to while crushing your workout.

Here comes your jam, and yes, you can hip thrust 225 lbs. You can do it all.

But which headphones are the best for workouts? The answer is obvious: the bluetooth ones.

running bluetooth headphones

Nobody wants a wire in his way while running that 3 miles on the treadmill.

What else is crucial for your exercise bluetooth headphones: high-quality sound, long battery life, sleek look, or affordable price? Whatever your criteria are, I got you. Let’s dig deep into the list.

I'll start with my personal number one - the one I’ve been using for the past two years.

The best exercise bluetooth headphones, according to my opinion:

Jabra Elite 85h

Over-ear headphones with a sporty but trendy design. There are different color options to choose from, all of which are beautiful.

Pros:

  • Excellent noise cancelation function - you can’t hear annoying sounds around you. You can easily focus on your workout, personal goals, and thoughts while at the gym.

  • Great high-quality sound even when the volume is high.

  • Have an integrated button - you can switch the song, stop it, or control the volume. Everything is done straight from your headphones. Incredibly simple and convenient to use.

  • Long battery life - If you use those for 2-3 hours a day, the battery will be good for (at least) a month. That's pretty awesome.

  • You can fold the headphones, which spares you some space in your gym bag.

Cons:

  • Expensive. When I got those, I paid $250. This is a lot to spend on headphones, especially when you’re just starting to work out. But now they are on sale for $149 (for some colors). It's a pretty reasonable price for high-quality headphones.

  • Over-ear headphones can be a little uncomfortable if you’re into cardio or other HIIT workout.

Conclusion

If you’re a fan of over-ear headphones or you’re curious to try them, get those.

The battery life is phenomenal - you will forget that you have to charge them. Especially now with the discount, those headphones will become your best friend when you're lifting weights.

The most premium bluetooth headphones for workouts:

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700

I want to take a brief moment to say how extremely beautiful and elegant those headphones are. They look like the royalty of the wireless headphones.

Pros:

  • Bose’s noise-cancellation system is one of the best on the market. You won’t hear even the noisiest guy throwing weights on the floor.

  • They have a touch panel with which you can easily control your headphones.

  • A highly-customizable app that can create profiles (i.e. different settings for the gym, work, home, etc.).

  • Premium feeling.

  • Sleek and elegant design.

Cons:

  • Shorter battery life. You can work out maybe for 5-6 times with those. This is still decent. I guess I'm spoiled with the Jabra.

  • Expensive. If the design isn’t your number one priority, you could find the same high-quality headphones for much cheaper.

  • The touch sensor isn't the most practical function during colder months when you wear mittens or gloves.

Conclusion: If the design of your wireless headphones is your number one priority, then this is the right choice for you. No doubt, those will make you feel premium.

But if you have to skip lunch for a month because of them, it’s not worth it. On this list, you can find other outstanding and affordable options.

The smallest headphones: Jabra Elite 75t Earbuds

If you like small earbuds that won’t be in the way when doing any exercise, these are your guys.

They combine the functionality of over-ear headphones with a compact size.

Pros:

  • Small and compact size.

  • Fit tightly to your ear. You can run, jump, do the sweatest HIIT workout, and those babies will still stay in place.

  • A small case that won’t take a lot of space in your gym bag.

  • Their sweat resistance makes them one of the best wireless headphones for workouts.

  • Discounted now to $79, which makes them an affordable option.

Cons:

  • The battery life of the case will be enough for around a week or a little less.

  • Hard to press the controls on the earbuds because of their small size.

Conclusion: Those Jabra earbuds are great for everyone who doesn’t like large headphones.

You can carry them everywhere with you, and you know they will stay in place during all your workouts. Those are a steal for the discounted price right now.

Best headphones for cardio and HIIT exercises:

Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earbuds

If you ask anyone which are the best workout headphones, they will say The Powerbeats Pro.

Their design is to be your perfect workout companion. They have a built-in controller and are sweat-resistant.

Pros:

  • Those fit good to your ears, and you know they are secure throughout your workout.

  • Small design.

  • Great for HIIT workouts, running, and cardio.

  • Sweat and water-resistant.

Cons:

  • The rubber band that secures them to your ears can cause you discomfort.

  • Not the most outstanding sound quality.

  • The battery life of the case will be good for no more than a week.

  • Expensive.

Conclusion: Great headphones for intensive and sweaty but shorter workouts. If you use them longer, probably the rubber band will cause you some discomfort.

For the price, there are better options with higher sound quality.

The cheapest:

Anker Soundcore Life Q20

An over-ear headphone option that you can have without breaking the bank. They have a classic design and a fair battery life.

Pros:

  • Comfortable to wear.

  • Affordable.

  • Good sound quality.

Cons:

  • They tend to get warmer if you use them longer.

  • They might feel cheap.

  • The noise-cancellation system won't limit all of the surrounding sounds.

Conclusion: If you’re on a budget, those wireless headphones will be nifty for your workouts. If you’re into design and don’t want any noise, you can choose a better option from the list above.
